Alright fedi, strap in! I'm mid-brainstorm and I'm bringing you along for the ride 🌪️

I'm considering #hiring someone to help with client lead gen for my business - and while I know a *lot* about recruiting, i know very little about #marketing.

The target clients would be founders/c-suite teams of startups who have recently raised VC funding and usually end up with a lot of hiring to do as part of that agreement.

Anyone have suggestions on what this sort of arrangement might look like? Thinking it would definitely be part-time, likely hourly with something of a finder's fee if their leads pan out?

I'm also wondering if something like this would be good for a marketing student? They could turn it in to a use case/internship for their coursework/future interviews and also make money (which never hurts!).

So I guess I don't know what I'm asking... maybe any of the below:

* What would you call this kind of work?
* What kind of person should I be looking for?
* What metrics should someone have/what rates of success should I expect?
* What questions (if any) could I add to my interview to tell if someone is full of bullshit?
* What would be a going/fair rate and comp structure?

I'm hiring an L4 (mid-career, early side of senior/pre-senior) infrastructure software engineer! I'm looking for someone with:
• A broad understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure fundamentals
• Strong python or golang skills
• Ready to work with code managing infrastructure at scale (e.g., we break AWS APIs because they time out on describe calls)

and would like to see at least one of these skill areas:
• Experience building robust systems or easy to use abstractions for AWS native services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, DDB, etc.
• Experience leveraging AWS Config, Cloud Control API, CloudFormation, and CloudTrail
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
