Combined with different base plates, this allows for complete height checks in constrained spaces, or with moving parts, that have inset shoulders.When printing a bunch of them on a single plate, you get by with only a few manual color swaps. Chris Huck :freecad: :ubuntu:A friend of mine has a bunch of bicycle bearing press tools that he wanted organized in one of his toolbox drawers so they weren’t all loose and difficult to dig through when he needed one. SimonoidI am unsure what stage of obsession this is for me. I printed a ruler for the <a href="https://aus.social/tags/gridfinity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#gridfinity</a> organisation system. This lets me quickly measure things to see what size bins I'll need. This was the sharpie version since I don't have mutli filament printing sorted 👍 <a href="https://aus.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#3dprinting</a>

SimonoidGridfinity is a lot of fun and there are a lot of very custom prints for exactly my needs 🥰 This is a tool tray for beside my printer. All in all a good day of printing, and some things I've learned. 1. Print holes for magnets bigger. It's not worth the push fit life 2. Be sure of the polarity of said magnets before push fit/can glue 😱 3. HBM((Zack Freedman)))'s got some good ideas about workshop organization. I'm testing his Gridfinity system now that the 3D printer is back in the mix. For the screw-together bases, I've found that zip ties are a good substitute for machine screws, although screws are obviously much sturdier. I've got a few bins printed now.
