@theeconomist recently published its annual Glass Ceiling Index, which compares working conditions f women across the 29 OECD countries. While the US ranks at the bottom, women as a whole are still making significant progress around the world.
As of 2024, 45% of women in the OECD had a college degree, compared to 36.9% of men.
Women’s share of parliamentary seats ticks above 34% for the first time in the index’s history.

In New Zealand, France & the UK, women now hold almost as many board positions as men. In Sweden, Latvia & the US, women now hold almost 1/2 of all executive positions.

I'd like to note that the list omits almost half the OECD countries; presumably all of them lower than the 20th position. USA and Greece are in the middle of the pack, not at the bottom.
