Currently back in Sydney, being busy with lots of work in the house between visits to the city & the surrounding area. It’s been a lot of furniture assembly & renovation. Happy about the PS clock that I previously had in red but which broke. Now a new color has come into the house
@smlx4 you should check out Everything Electric while you're there
@carbsrule_en why’s that? Anything particular you’re thinking of?
@smlx4 lots of cool EVs (cars obviously, but every other form of transport too), renewable energy, etc. I'd test drive all the cars I could never afford. But tons of discussions about things I've yet to learn about, too.
@carbsrule_en There’s a lot of innovation here but regarding progress in the adoption of electric vehicles, the pace varies by region & is influenced by several factors sucg as government policies, infrastructure development & consumer awareness.
The market share has been gradually increasing, with sales rising significantly in recent years. But compared to some other countries, Australia's overall penetration of EVs remains relatively low.
@smlx4 of course. Events like this drive consumer awareness (and combat misinformation), including in relation to the infrastructure. Most people have no idea, for example, that 40% of Australia's electricity already comes from renewables. And (LNP) politicians certainly don't want to discuss Tasmania's ~100% or South Australia's ~75%, due to hit 100% in 2027.
